Planned Foodservice Solutions Inc. is a full service foodservice consulting firm providing design and management consulting to the hospitality industry. We are not a large multi-national firm but rather a small, boutique style consulting firm. Doug Feltmate is the principal of the firm and leads all projects. His methods of caring for client’s needs large and small, has led to a reputation within the industry for being thorough, precise and progressive and never being afraid of venturing into new directions. His combination of vision and strategic thinking has led DFS & PFS to innovative changes in the food service environment. Since being founded 28 years ago, DFS & PFS has completed over 1800 projects in 35 countries, covering all aspects of the hospitality industry.

We use AutoCAD 2021 software

As part of our consulting services, we can provide fully integrated CAD design with the other consultants on the design team. This includes floor plans, elevations, details, mechanical and electrical schedules, rough-in & point of connection drawings as well as full specification documents.

Doug’s specializations include food service planning and design that is innovative and sustainable. He has a long history in sports, entertainment and hotel complexes as well as employee/student dining facilities. His primary focus as this time is to create a kitchen & dining solution that improves the quality of life for our senior living sector both now and in the future. He is also particularly skilled in working with the project team to help achieve LEED compliance through innovative solutions related to food service facility design and operations.

Doug Feltmate has 40 years’ experience in the industry and founded Designed Food Systems 28 years ago. He attended the Algonquin’s School of Hospitality & Hotel Management and carries the highest Professional designation of the Food Service Consultants Society International (FCSI).
